Rental FAQ

  • What time is check-in/check-out?

    Check-in begins at 4:00PM. If an early check-in is needed, call us and we will do everything we can to accommodate if possible. Check-out is at 10:00AM on your departure day. Please remember to place the keys on the kitchen counter and leave the front door unlocked. The cleaning crew will arrive @10am.

  • Where do I pick up keys?

    The day of arrival, the unit will be unlocked and the keys left on the kitchen counter.. You will receive a property specific check-in packet 7 days prior to your arrival via email. Included in this packet will be the directions to the home, Wi-Fi log-in, as well as additional information on the property.

  • What is your payment schedule?

    There is a 25% deposit required to reserve our vacation properties, the remaining balance is due 30 days prior to arrival. If you would like to split payments on multiple cards please notify us at the time of booking.

  • What is the cancellation policy?

    CANCELLATION POLICY AND FEES: All cancellations must be executed in writing. Damage protection insurance plans are non-refundable. If cancellations are executed thirty (30) days or more prior to arrival, all funds on deposit will be refunded, less a cancellation fee of $200.00. If cancellations are executed less than thirty (30) days prior to arrival, no funds on deposit will be refunded. Additionally, no refunds will be issued for early departures, delayed arrivals, or for reducing the number of nights reserved if such change is executed less than thirty (30) days prior to arrival. The Company strongly encourages Guests to protect the investment in their vacation by purchasing either a standard Travel Insurance policy, or enhanced Cancel for Any Reason Trip Insurance policy. These two insurance options are offered at time of booking or can be purchased at www.rentalguardian.com, within certain time restrictions, after booking.

  • What is provided with the rental?

    Both bed and bath linens are provided with our rentals. We stock each property with a starter set of paper towels, toilet papers, trash bags, and detergents. The starter set will likely not last the entire duration of your stay. Please check property listings for specific property amenities.

  • Is accidental damage protection required?

    Damage Protection Plans are required for all our vacation rentals and are non-refundable. They protect both the guest and the homeowner in the event that any accidental damage occurs during the rental. Please be sure to report any damages to Palm Island Stays prior to check-out.

  • How do we get to the Palm Island?

    Most guests arrive at Palm Island using the ferry, operated by Palm Island Transit (www.palmislandtransit.com).
    Regular hours of operation are:
    Sunday through Thursday: 6:30 am to 10:00 pm
    Friday 6:30am to 11:00pm
    Saturday 6:30 am to Midnight
